The flashlight has 50% more range than the standard XPL-HI diode model. The beam is narrow and concentrated at a point of high intensity (spot about 5m at 100m distance), making it particularly suitable for carbine mounting. We have a variant of this flashlight that is more suitable for a smoothbore rifle with a wider beam and more lumens at the expense of less range (Convoy C8+ Gen2 for smoothbore, 1700 lumens and 650 meters, point 10m/100m). Both models also work with a remote trigger that you can purchase as an option. The price is for a set of flashlight, charger and battery. The flashlight is factory built to our specifications with a boosted driver (Gen2) to achieve greater range and light output.
The C8 Gen2 generates a lot of heat due to its high power, but it has a built-in overheating protection that prevents it from getting hotter than 60 degrees and reduces the light. This happens after about 5 minutes of continuous lighting depending on the outside temperature. The battery lasts about 40 minutes on the highest mode. If you need longer lighting and/or longer battery life, we designed the driver with a high average mode that provides a strong light for 1.5 hours.
The driver has 8 groups of modes so that it can be adjusted according to the user's desire at any time just by the button. By default, the flashlight comes programmed with strong mode only, but before shipping we will adjust it to your liking. The flashlight is ideal for hunting applications and this driver works perfectly with the factory rifle trigger. Scheme of the possible groups of modes with which you can adjust your lantern:
