SAFE AND EASY TO USE: Designed with impact-resistant plastic and rubber coating. To prevent accidental stunning, the activation switch must be turned off when not in use. EFFECTS: A shock from the Mace® Brand Palm Stun device for one second or less will cause pain and minor muscle contractions. Stunning the attacker for one to two seconds will cause spasms and a dazed mental state. Stunning an attacker for three to five seconds will cause them to lose balance and muscle control. Don't continue to stun an attacker after you've managed to escape to safety. TO USE: To activate the Palm Stun device, slide the activation switch located on the side of the device from the OFF position to the ON position. The stun function is activated by pressing the stun button which is in the center of the finger hole. To prevent accidental activation of the stun function, the activation switch must be returned to the OFF position when not in use. Many times the visual and auditory effects of operating this tactical Palm Stun device alone is an effective deterrent. If you are in a situation that has escalated to the point where you feel it is necessary to deploy the Palm Stun device's electrical charge on an assailant, hold the electrodes against the assailant's body and press the stun button with your finger. The most effective places to stun are the shoulder, thigh, thigh, buttocks and under the chest. As long as you hold the stun gun against your body, you will not see or hear the spark. You can continue firing the stunner for as long as necessary without damaging the device. Once the assailant is subdued, leave the scene and immediately call law enforcement for assistance. EXPIRY DATE: After each use or long periods of inactivity, it is recommended that the Palm Stun be recharged for 2 hours.
